Tracie Hotchner is nationally acclaimed as a Pet Wellness Advocate, the author of THE DOG BIBLE: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know and THE CAT BIBLE: Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know. She has been reaching pet parents with her "delightfully informative" shows on NPR, Sirius/XM and her pet talk podcasts for over 15 years, interviewing pet experts and authors around the world. Recognized as a unique voice for advice and information for pets and their people, she was honored as a Pet Age Woman of Influence in 2018.
Since 2006 Tracie has been producing and hosting her own hour-long radio show DOG TALK® (and Kitties, Too!) from WLIW-88.3 FM, the only NPR station on Long Island, interviewing pet experts and authors around the world. After the weekly broadcast she produces DOG TALK® as a podcast, along with her many other pet talk podcast shows.
Tracie’s own live, call-in show – Cat Chat® – was on Sirius/XM for 8 years on the Martha Stewart channel until that channel was canceled. Since then, Tracie has produced and hosted Cat Chat® as a weekly podcast underwritten by Dr. Elsey's. Her newest weekly show is EXOTIC PETS™, co-hosted by world-renowned veterinary specialist and author Dr. Doug Mader.
Tracie is also the Founder and Director of the annual NY Dog Film Festival™ and the NY Cat Film Festival™ which have premiered in NYC every Fall since 2015, then travelling the country afterwards, benefiting local animal shelters.
